Women's Support Services

Women Support Services is a programme designed to offer advice and act as a signposting service for those who are experiencing post relationship abuse.

You may not quite be ready for our recovery programme. We bring together a range of vital support areas under one umbrella, ensuring every woman receives the dedicated help she needs.

Here's why our programme is essential

Addressing Multiple Needs Simultaneously:

We understand that vulnerability is multifaceted. By giving guidance on housing, legal, financial, counselling, and advocacy support, we build a robust safety net that addresses instability and encourages recovery.

Empowering Through Personalised Support:

Every woman’s journey is unique. Our person-centred approach ensures tailored assistance that respects each individual’s circumstances and aspirations. This not only boosts immediate safety and stability but also promotes the confidence required for long-term independence.

Building Resilient Communities:
By creating environments where women have access to guidance and peer support, we not only help guide but also build lasting community networks. These networks serve as foundations for sharing experiences, promoting trust, and promoting collective growth and empowerment.

Sustainable Recovery and Independence:
We aim to transform lives, empowering women to overcome challenges and equipping them with the skills and knowledge to sustain their recovery. This transformational journey helps you rebuild your life, regain your independence, and move confidently toward a brighter future.

Housing Guidance:
We provide guidance on processes, housing schemes, and grants. Our assistance helps women understand what, may be, their next steps.

Legal Guidance:
Our service offers expert legal advice and support from assistance with protection orders to navigation of SETDV referrals. We work closely with legal professionals and advocacy groups to ensure every woman understands her rights and secures the justice she deserves.

Financial Guidance / Budgeting / Emergency Support:
Through workshops and one-to-one sessions, we empower women with essential money management and budgeting skills. Additionally, we help them access vital resources such as food bank vouchers, welfare grants, and government funds, which can alleviate financial pressure and lay a foundation for stability.

Counselling Referrals:
Recognising the emotional and psychological toll of abuse and instability, we work with partners who offer affordable counselling for women and their children. We, from time to time, get access to funded counselling.

Advocacy and Peer Support:
Our peer-led advocacy have navigated similar challenges. This support helps explain complicated systems, from legal details to entitlement issues and reinforces their confidence in taking control of their lives.

In Summary:
Our Women Support Services programme is more than a crisis response. It’s a pathway to empowerment. By providing integrated, accessible support, we ensure that every woman is not only helped in the moment but is also equipped to thrive in the long term. This is our commitment to creating a safer, more secure future for every woman who walks through our door.
