What Do You Get With Our Programmes?

1:1 with Peer Mentor Consultants

Our Peer Mentors have experienced domestic abuse and have worked hard to overcome its challenges. They share their stories with honesty and warmth, offering understanding and hope. Their journeys show that recovery is not something you have to do alone. Each step of progress is a shared victory.

By connecting with those who have faced similar hardships, our Peer Mentors create a warm, safe space where you are truly heard and valued. They nurture a sense of belonging, inviting you to see that your struggles can eventually give way to strength and renewal. Through compassionate guidance and heartfelt support, they inspire you to trust in your own capacity to heal and embrace a brighter future.

Inspiring Hope & Better Future

At the heart of our Peer Support is the belief that recovery is both possible and achievable. We break the journey down into small, manageable steps to make the process feel less overwhelming. Simply being there to listen and offer a kind word can truly make a difference. Our goal is to help our clients stay positive and see the bright potential of a better future.

Our Support Services & Programmes

Advocacy Support/Signposting

Advocacy enables us to be your voice when you feel you can’t. Particularly having to repeat your situation with other professionals.

We can advocate during Housing Applications (DA related), Mental Health, Protection Orders, Legal Aid supporting letters, GP, and SETDV applications

We can signpost you to other services we feel would help you on your journey. We will give you options, so we can help support your best choices.

Emergency Support

When an individual needs support urgently, we are there to support. This normally relates to safety planning, protection orders, food, clothes, toiletries, items for your new place, applying for grants, referrals to refuge, support with travelling to a refuge and more.

Building Confidence

5 Sessions

People who recognise and use their strengths tend to feel happier, enjoy better self-esteem, and are more likely to achieve their goals. Yet, many find it difficult to pinpoint these talents, often dismissing them as ordinary when they’re truly remarkable.

We are here to help you discover your unique strengths. Our approach guides you in identifying the special qualities that make you, you. We’ll also help you recognise these strengths in others, so you can build a supportive network that uplifts everyone. With a clearer understanding of your abilities, you’ll be empowered to develop and use your strengths to create positive changes in your life.

Building Resilience

5 sessions

Hurtful memories can hold you back, limiting your growth and stifling your progress. How can you break free from these restraints and move towards living your dreams? The first step is to recognise the lingering influences of the past and work to either let them go or transform them into a positive force that propels you forward.

Our programme is designed to help you identify these inhibiting memories so that you can take back control. By understanding and reshaping these experiences, you gain the power to use them as building blocks for a brighter future rather than as weights that slow you down.

Our Wellbeing Programme

Ongoing - Online & Face to Face

Great for those seeking creative ways to overcome trauma and isolation, this activity offers a relaxed environment where you can meet new friends who understand your experiences. Its aim is to help you become more mindful and settled in the present.

You are welcome to bring a support worker, family member, or friend along for extra reassurance during the activities; please note that they will need to register as well. Throughout, our Peer Mentors will be on hand to offer gentle guidance and support.

Emotional Support Programme

Emotional Safety Care Plan

Emphasis is often placed on planning around physical safety, but do not consider their emotional wellbeing when they create a safety plan. Emotional safety looks different for different people, but planning for your emotional safety is ultimately about developing a personalised plan that helps you feel accepting of your emotions and decisions when dealing with abuse or during the recovery.

Online Creative Journaling

Starting 2025

We offer a 4-week group session quarterly. Creative journaling is a form of self-expression that allows you to record your thoughts, feelings, and ideas. This type of journaling can be used to work through problems, to come up with new ideas, or just to relax and reflect on your day.

Visual Expression Art

Monthly in Stroud currently

Monthly group sessions launching end of September 2024. One does not need to be an artist or have any special skills to express oneself through artmaking. You don't have to be good at art. These sessions are not about what you are creating. It’s the process of creating that really matters.

Emotional Intelligence

8 Sessions - Emotional Intelligence X

Emotional intelligence refers to the ability to perceive, understand, and manage one’s own emotions and relationships. It involves being aware of emotions in oneself and others and using this awareness to guide thinking and behaviour.

Emotionally intelligent individuals can motivate themselves, read social cues, and build strong relationships. This is offered online over 8 months. We will have 3 cohorts a year.
