Honour Thy Woman Group: Empowering Recovery Bridging the Gap from Crisis to Stability for 54 Families Across Gloucestershire in 2025-2026

Over the past year, Honour Thy Woman has continued to provide specialist, trauma-informed support to women and children affected by domestic abuse across Gloucestershire. As demand for our services grows and the complexity of need increases, our commitment remains the same: helping families move beyond crisis and towards lasting recovery.

Our annual review highlights the impact of our work, the challenges faced by the families we support, and the progress made through a whole-family approach that places healing, empowerment, and hope at its heart. Together with our partners, funders, volunteers, and supporters, we are creating pathways to safer, stronger futures.

A Year of Recovery, Resilience and Hope

This year, Honour Thy Woman received 312 referrals and provided intensive support to 54 families across Gloucestershire.

Our Impact in 2025-2026

• 82% of women sought support for the emotional impact of trauma and coercive control.

• 54% of families required specialist support for children affected by domestic abuse.

• 62% of service users identified as living with a disability, including PTSD, ADHD, autism, and other mental health conditions.

• Families faced complex challenges including housing instability, court proceedings, post-separation abuse, and safeguarding concerns.

• Enhance support pathways for neurodivergent survivors

• Scale our Family Unit Recovery programme across Gloucestershire
