🎤 Keasha's Leadership Talk at the ASHA Centre

In July, our Founder and CEO, Keasha, took to the stage at the ASHA Centre as part of the Let's Talk Leadership event.

It was a fantastic opportunity to share the story behind Honour Thy Woman Group, the realities of supporting survivors of domestic abuse, and the importance of strong, compassionate leadership in driving meaningful change. We're incredibly proud of Keasha for representing our organisation and raising awareness of the work we do across Gloucestershire. 🌱 Welcome to Our New Trustees

We're growing!

As Honour Thy Woman Group continues to develop and expand, we're delighted to welcome new trustees to our team. Their skills, expertise, and passion will help strengthen our organisation as we continue supporting survivors on their journey from crisis to recovery.

📊 Our Annual Report Has Been Published

We're proud to have published our latest annual report, showcasing the impact made during 2025-2026.

The report highlights how Honour Thy Woman Group supported 54 families across Gloucestershire, helping bridge the gap between crisis and stability through practical support, advocacy, recovery services, and community partnerships.

Every success story represents courage, resilience, and the incredible power of community support. Thank you to everyone who has helped make this work possible.

🎙️ Keasha is Heading to The Dipcast

We're thrilled to share that Keasha will soon be appearing on The Dipcast Podcast.

The conversation will explore the challenges survivors face, the importance of recovery-focused services, and the journey that led to the creation of Honour Thy Woman Group. We can't wait to share more details once the episode goes live.

🎉 Connecting with the Forest of Dean at the Family Fun Day

We'll be out and about in the Forest of Dean at the Bells Hotel & Country Club Family Fun Day on 31st August.

This fantastic free community event promises fun for all ages, with activities, entertainment, local businesses, charities, and community organisations coming together for a great day out.

For us, this event is about much more than a day of fun. As we continue to expand our reach across Gloucestershire, it's incredibly important that we connect with communities in the Forest of Dean, raise awareness of the support available, and build relationships with local residents, families, and organisations.

We know that domestic abuse can affect anyone, anywhere, and we're committed to ensuring people across the Forest of Dean know that support is available and that they don't have to face recovery alone.

If you're attending, make sure you pop over and say hello to the team. Whether you want to find out more about our work, ask questions, or simply have a chat, we'd love to meet you. 💜

🏡 Giving Our Office a Fresh New Look

Big changes are happening behind the scenes!

Our office is about to undergo a transformation thanks to the brilliant team at Workplace Interiors. The redesign will create a welcoming and inspiring environment for our staff, volunteers, and the people we support.

The new space will bring some of the beauty of the outdoors indoors, helping create a calm, comfortable, and supportive setting for recovery conversations, meetings, and community activities.

We can't wait to share the results with you.

🤝 New Partnership with local solicitors

We're delighted to be developing a new collaboration helping to strengthen the support available to survivors through easier access to legal guidance and advice.

Recovery often involves navigating complex legal situations, and partnerships like this help ensure people have access to the right support at the right time.

More information about this collaboration will be shared in the coming months.

🧡 Planning for 16 Days of Action Against Gender-Based Violence

While summer is still in full swing, we're already busy preparing for the annual 16 Days of Action Against Gender-Based Violence, a nationally and internationally recognised campaign that runs every year from 25th November (International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) to 10th December (Human Rights Day).

This powerful campaign brings together organisations, communities, campaigners, and survivors to raise awareness of gender-based violence, challenge harmful attitudes, and advocate for lasting change.

We're currently developing plans for this year's activities and awareness events, and we're excited to be building opportunities for the community to get involved. As always, we'll be using our voice to stand alongside survivors, promote recovery, and keep the conversation about domestic abuse and violence against women and girls front and centre.
